主要成果:
 开发出“系统综合分析方法”并成功应用于工业节能。例如,对燕山石化炼油厂酮苯脱蜡车间进行节能改造,在不增加任何设备的情况下,第一年节能效益达800万元;对大庆石化炼油厂进行节能改造,在不增加设备的前提下,节能5%。
 提出了一系列新的概念,并在这些概念基础上给出设计水网络的几种新方法,适用的水网络系统包括:只考虑回用的多杂质水网络、考虑再生回用的水网络、既包括固定杂质负荷又包括固定流率的水网络。这些新概念已经被国际同行采纳(不是简单引用),用于水网络研究。
 提出一种精馏塔扩容改造的新方法,并成功应用于工业实践. 该方法已经被国际同行采纳,用于精馏塔设计与改造。
 提出一系列计算热力学性质的新方法,其中计算混合物临界压力的方法被化学工程领域权威著作“The Properties of Gases and Liquid”列为计算混合物临界压力的推荐方法之一。
